Alessia Hughes

This collection is full of poems and lyrics I have written since December 2012 to the present day. They are separated either by theme, subject, or sequence. Many lyrics hold stories of fiction or of reality, with characters of complexity and boldness. Often without the strict restraints of rhyme and syllabic verse, I focus intensely on imagery and symbolism, while also exploring storytelling.

POETRY

Since late 2012, I have been interested in writing poetry, as a form of writing that is exploratory, deeply personal, and wonderfully creative. I have written hundreds of lyrics since 2013, building a strong foundation for a collection of stories in verse form.
